Hey everyone. Thanks for tuning in today! Those of us at BNS have been brainstorming ways in order to continue to offer our skills and expertise during this challenging time. We miss seeing all of our students; we’re not going to lie, we love teaching, offering help, and talking theory about horses, training, techniques, and tips. Our poor significant others are probably already sick of hearing us talk even more about horses than usual. So we thought: what could we do? Where can we talk about horses with those who are actually interested in learning ABOUT horses? And we have come up with some pretty good ideas (or so we think) to offer educational videos for a wide variety of ages and skill levels. We are offering Pony Club style videos (our Mini Barn Minnion Series) with worksheets, skills and tasks, as well as a more in-depth online version of the Equine Science internship which we offer our working students (or as I call them the Barn Minnions) of various ages (think older teens to adults).
We are also going to be offering online video training! This goes along, or can go along with a personalized training schedule. We are going to be putting out videos of various exercises and lessons so that viewers can watch and learn remotely. We’ll be bringing you along for the ride as we work with the young off the track thoroughbreds, and use our older lesson and school horses to demo the way that things should (hopefully) go. These will be able to provide our followers with some good education as to what things they can try at home, and also provide them with a better understanding of WHY they would want to try these things at home. We are aiming to provide weekly Training videos, with the idea that some will build on each other, and some will be stand alone!
Time for the big disclaimer. None of these online services are really meant to take the place of hands on, one on one instruction or training (especially if you’re working with young, green, or difficult horses!) but with the way the world is going, our ability to be at the barn learning face to face is severely limited. Remember that horses are big, and even the best can be dangerous, so it’s especially important right now to be safe, and to play it even safer than one normally would.
What people are saying:
As soon as Body n Soul announced they were going to start virtual learning options, I knew I wanted to take part in as many available options as possible. After watching the previews, and discussing the details of each program with Brittany and Ellie, I decided to sign up for ALL of their online offerings. Brittany, Ellie, and Liese run a wonderful lesson barn with hardworking, driven, and well educated students, so I knew the online programs would not disappoint. And that assumption could not have been more correct. The videos are extremely high quality. Beautifully filmed, and filled with valuable information for the new and seasoned equestrian alike. The Mini Minion Series has been thoroughly enjoyed by my five year old budding horsewoman. the Equine Studies Series is a great place to learn, or to test your knowledge on all things horsey. And I could not express my gratitude for the Customized Virtual Training Package enough. It includes the Riding Seminars, Virtual Lessons, and a Tailored Training Schedule specifically for you and your horse. The Riding Seminars are excellent. The take you through different exercises, with different horses and riders. It is invaluable to learn from the ground how these different horse and rider combinations tackle the same jumping questions. I have not been able to send in a video for the Virtual Lessons quite yet, but I'm positive it will be the same tremendous quality, thoughtful approach, and patient teaching style as their in-person instruction. Lastly, I could not speak more highly of the Tailored Training Schedule. It is clear that Brittany cares immensely of your goals, and approaches the schedule with a thorough knowledge of conditioning, as well as a passion for you and your horse's combined happiness and success. I give the Body n Soul Educational Series the highest of praise. These ladies, have put together wonderful options to extend learning beyond the arena and into the needs of today's equestrians.

I’ve signed up for the ‘Riding Seminar Series’ monthly subscription so that I am able to continue learning and growing as a rider while the barn is closed. I am an adult amateur rider returning to the saddle after years away, who watches ENTIRELY too many online clinics, competitions, etc. I LOVE gaining knowledge and I am not able to ride as frequently as I’d like, due to other obligations. I mention this because I consider myself knowledgeable when it comes to online offerings that trainers/barns/organizations put out there – and this series is BY FAR the best I’ve seen yet. Professionally put together, beautiful to watch, and full of useful and important information. Not only do I get video clips of riders and horses to learn from, I can hear Brittany’s teaching, and there is a written portion as well, explaining the horses, riders, and what they are working on, what their strengths/weaknesses are, etc etc. This is SO MUCH MORE than anyone else is offering right now, and I can’t wait for next weeks videos! Thanks so much for allowing the learning to continue!
My 7 year old daughter is signed up for the “Mini-Minnon” learning monthly subscription series as well, and was engaged and enjoying it from the minute we put on the video. She is learning about horse care and management, and was able to give me a synopsis of what she learned after only watching the video clip once! To be able to present information in a way that children can absorb it, engage with it, and retain it is truly a gift – and this program is all that. Thanks and can’t wait for more!
